NOTICE OF SPRING ELECTION

TOWN OF JOHNSTOWN

APRIL 7, 2026

Election Details

There will be an election to be held in the Town of Johnstown, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.  The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed:

Office Incumbent

Town Board Supervisor, #3 Jeffery Hillmann

Town Board Supervisor, #4 James O’Leary

Office Terms

All terms are for two years beginning on Tuesday, April 20, 2026

Caucus for Candidates

Between December 1st, 2025 and January 1st, 2026, a date for the town caucus will be scheduled to nominate candidates to appear on the spring election ballot for the above listed offices. The caucus will be held  January 20, 2026.

Additional Information

Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.

The Town of Johnstown voting location is at the Johnstown Community Center, located at 9937 E. Cty. Truck A, Janesville WI. 


On election day the polls are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm.

A Photo Id Required, and if registering you will need proof of residency.  You must be a township resident for at least 28 days.  Details on accepted forms can be found here 


The Community Center is ADA accessible, and we have the Express Vote machine for those who need additional recourses to accommodate your needs.  


Register to Vote  

If you are not currently registered to vote you can apply prior to the election by-

  • Contacting the Township Clerk Mary Mawhinney at 262-203-1756 or at clerk@johnstownrockcowi.gov  to set up an appointment
  • Go to myvote.wi.gov and register online.

 


Options for Absentee voting

  • Contact the Township Clerk Mary Mawhinney at 262-203-1756 or at clerk@johnstownrockcowi.gov to set up an appointment
  • Go to MyVote.Wi.gov to request an absentee ballot.
  • In person Absentee voting 14 days prior to elections.



Election Day Voting  

  • Same day registration is available.  Please be sure to bring all required documents.
