Johnstown Community center

We want to share an update with the community regarding the future use of the community center.

After careful consideration, the township has entered into an agreement to lease the facility to a daycare provider. This arrangement is a better long-term fit for the building and allows the space to be used in a way that best serves the needs of the community.

All existing reservations scheduled through the remainder of 2026 will be honored. However, changes to future use are now in effect. Moving forward, new reservation requests will be limited and will only be considered under the following conditions:

• The applicant must be a township resident
• The event must be a small family gathering
• Alcohol is not permitted
• The requested date must be available

We appreciate the community’s understanding as we transition to this new use of the facility. Residents with questions or those wishing to inquire about date availability under these updated guidelines are encouraged to contact the township clerk.
